About Us
Our club was started in 2004 as a group of ladies that were wanting to get fit and have some fun along the way. We then took on the challenge of playing matches in the Local SDNA league, with the intention of extending the time we get to play netball and improving our game. We entered a team in the Swindon league in September 05 and gained promotion to the 3rd Division, was an outstanding achievement for the Club. In September 06 we entered A and B teams, in the 3rd and 4th Division respectively. The A team came top of Division 3 and were promoted to Division 2, with the B team only narrowly missing out on promotion to Division 3. In September 07 our ’A’ team gained promotion into Division 1, our ’B’ team were unbeaten in division 4, which meant they were promoted to Division 3 and we also entered our ‘C’ team in Division 4 and a team in the Over 35’s league. In the 08/09 season the club had grew enough to enter a ‘D’ team into Division 4. The season finished with the ’A’ team remaining in the 1st Division, the ‘B’ team narrowly missing out on promotion to Division 2, and ‘C’ and ‘D’ teams remaining in Division 4. Due to an added Division the ‘D’ team are now playing in the 5th Division. We still have 4 teams entering into the 09/10 season, and 1 team in the Over 35 league. With the club still growing strong we are hoping for a very good season and of course promotions! ‘A’ Team ’B’ Team ’C’ Team ‘D’ Team As a club we believe in fair play and all players are expected to follow our Code of Conduct and play within the rules. If you are looking for an alternative form of exercise and a bit fun at the same time, then please come along and join us Tuesday evening’s at Isambard Community school 7.30 - 9.30.It doesn’t matter if the last time you played netball Donny Osmond was No.1, Swindon Town were in the Premiership or Maggie Thatcher was Prime Minister, experience or ability isn’t important, just possess a sense of fun.
